WE expands investor and corporate team in Australia
Siobhan Rennie named Head of Corporate Affairs, Sydney
Leading integrated communications firm WE Communications (formerly WE Buchan) today announced the appointment of veteran communications executive Siobhan Rennie as Head of Corporate Affairs, Sydney.
The hire reflects continued investment in the agency’s investor and corporate communications capability, which continues to go from strength to strength.
“Our investor and corporate communications team has been rapidly building depth and scale, requiring an executive leader in Sydney to serve our growing client base,” said Group Head of Investor and Corporate Communication, Kyahn Williamson. “Siobhan brings a wealth of pertinent experience, including expertise in government, issues management and stakeholder relations.”
Rennie has nearly 20 years’ experience in global communications across various sectors and subjects, from the G20 and government to corporate, start-up, agency and media organisations. She previously worked as the Director of Communications and External Affairs on the transformation of the Powerhouse Precinct.
Other former roles include Director of Group Corporate Communications at DDB Group Australia and Director of Media Operations for the G20 Australia Taskforce.
In her new role, Rennie will lead the Sydney Corporate Affairs team, collaborating closely with counterpart Libby Woolnough, who is Head of Corporate Affairs, Melbourne, and report to Williamson. Rennie will work with WE corporate clients such as Allianz, the Australian Tax Office, NGS Super, Perpetual and Australian Foundation Investment Company.
“I’m excited to be joining WE during such a pivotal period, becoming part of a well-respected, talented and driven team,” said Rennie. “I look forward to helping our corporate clients create meaningful communications that resonate with their key stakeholders.”
