New financial year kicks off with major promotion, new hires
Integrated communication agency WE Buchan, today announces the promotion of Gemma Hudson to Managing Director, alongside three new hires. The announcement follows another strong year for the agency, which signed 37 new clients across Australia and APAC, increased headcount by 40%, and won CommsCon Large Agency of the Year 2018, alongside a number of other award nominations.
Since joining five years ago, Gemma has been instrumental in transforming the agency and driving growth – establishing new consumer and technology divisions, and appointing a strong bench of strategists, creatives and digital specialists. In the expanded role, Gemma will continue to report to CEO Rebecca Wilson* and work closely with her to oversee commercial operations across both Sydney and Melbourne, as well as focus on the agency’s growth strategy.
Jörn Sanda has been appointed to accelerate the expansion of WE Buchan’s services to the technology sector. Jörn brings a technology pedigree of over two decades of diverse international client experience that includes working with Apple and IBM, and recently for Facebook.
Other appointments include Georgi Wicks as Senior Account Manager with the Investor Communication team, and Matthew Lee as Account Manager with the Corporate team. Both hires add further depth and experience to the firm’s corporate, financial services and issues management capabilities.
